Demonstration Chef

Nick is a colourful, enthusiastic entertainer and can be spotted around the UK giving lively cooking demonstrations at a diverse range of venues, from the Good Food Show to Food Festivals and local schools.

He has done demos for JK Rowling and Tony Blair, plus scores of companies, including British Airways, Scottish Power, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Waverley Vintners, Barnardos, as well as for global brands such as Vogue and Lender’s. He’s even barbequed on a tall ship in gale force winds!

As well as a professional operation, demonstrations guarantee a high standard of food. Menus can be themed to suit the occasion and dishes can include the freshest fish and shellfish, lamb, beef and chicken from top suppliers, organic vegetables (in season, picked straight from the garden), berry fruits, Scottish oats and our own home smoked salmon. Nick will always try to use local suppliers and seasonal food wherever possible.

We can provide a one-stop shop for any manner of cooking demonstration, bringing all our own equipment. Nick is willing to consider any set-up and is always happy to answer questions. There are one or two minimal requirements but in general most venues can be adapted to form a suitable space.

In conjunction with the Nick Nairn Cook School, we can organise demonstrations involving Nick and other chefs, such as Paul Rankin and Phil Vickery. In addition, Nick Nairn Enterprise is available for event planning and in the past we’ve worked extensively with shows such as Entertaining Christmas at the SECC, Scottish Good Food Show, Glasgow Food Fest and the Dundee Food Show.
